Very pleasant stay. Room was cleaned twice a day and fulfilled our expectation. Very nice area and extremely service minded personnel. Food had a high quality with a wide variation of menues every day.
Be aware of the tide on that side of the island, some day you had to walk several hundred meters for having a bath.

nous revenons du sands ou nous avons passé un agréable séjour pour la troisième fois consécutive pour 14 nuits pour nous c'est notre petit paradis hivernal et on y retrouve le calme des lieux, la beauté des jardins ,une piscine magnifique une plage de sable blanc doux comme le talc une habitation impeccable de propreté les draps constamment renouvelés, les serviettes changés 2 fois dans la journée matin et soir et tout cela accompagner par un personnel au petit soins géré par l'ami JOHN toujours a l'écoute de vos désirs si vous aimez le calme et la qualité de services c'est l'endroit idéal pour nous on le sait déjà on y retourne

With a transfer of just over an hour from the airport the location was perfect for us. Overlooking the Indian Ocean the sun rise is beautiful. The bungalows are huge, with large seating area, kitchen, walk in wardrobe, bathroom with in and outside showers. We decided to go half board to cut back on cost which did suit us overall. The rooms are spotless cleaned in the morning generally fresh towels too, with a bed turn down service in the evening too with the floors again swept and tidied. The whole complex has 21 bungalows and only max 8 filled while we were there it was extremely quiet. Has limited board games, pool tale and a footie game, large TV that has sports mainly. The staff were absolutely fantastic smiling and greeting all the time waitressing where very quick to clear tables ready for the next course.The barman where very attentive and would serve at your subbed once order placed both drinks and food. A big shout out to John in guest relations, he arrange for us to visit a local restaurant one evening and another trip to watch the sunset made our trip a a tribute to the Sands team. Finally the food, not a expansive range but really great quality and well presented with fresh fish cooked to order every other night. The rustic feel to this place was second to none, will without doubt visit again !

Fomos passar o natal e ficamos no The Sands e foi a melhor experiência que tivemos desde há muito tempo. O espa?o é natureza pura, uma tranquilidade e sensa??o de casa, que nos acolhe depois de muitas horas de voo. A praia é tranquila, com um areal extenso e ninguém fica a “ouvir a conversa do vizinho”; as vilas s?o espa?osas, super cuidadas, com uma decora??o simples que nos deixa deslumbrados. O melhor de tudo: o staff. Quem faz acontecer e com quem conversamos e nos recebe sempre com um sorriso! Desde a rece??o, ao housekeeping, TODOS s?o incríveis! De uma amabilidade e disponibilidade pouco comum. O John (GR) faz toda a diferen?a, sempre disponível com sugest?es, solu??es e boa disposi??o contagiante! OBRIGADA!!! Vamos voltar com toda a certeza, já estamos com saudades da Lídia, do Christopher, do Cassiano e de todos que fazem do The Sand o paraíso!

Siamo stati al The Sands la settimana di Natale. Il posto è adatto a coppie che cercano un posto immerso nella natura e autentico, lontano dal caos dei mega villaggi turistici tipici italiani per le famiglie con bambini maleducati che qui non essendoci animazione non sono presenti. Il resort è una chicca. Noi avevamo un bungalow vista giardino, silenzioso, acqua doccia sempre presente, uniche pecche le prese (solo inglesi) in punti illogici e mancanti in bagno e l’elettricità che tutti i giorni veniva spenta per circa un’ora. La spiaggia interna è tenuta bene, lettini e ombrelloni sono molto distanti tra gli ospiti e non si sente neppure parlare con totale privacy (quasi una spiaggia privata e selvaggia), la spiaggia fronte resort è larga e lunghissima ideale per le passeggiate. Il punto mare subisce le maree per cui sappiate che qui non potete fare il bagno quando volete. Dall’aeroporto dista circa un’ora e mezza di transfer. Bar della spiaggia fornito e i ragazzi sono molto bravi a fare i cocktail. Colazione/pranzo/cena a buffet nel ristorante vicino alla reception è internazionale, il cibo è buono e vario ma il buffet non viene rifornito se finisce e se cercate tipico italiano questo posto NON fa per voi! Animazione assente ed era quello che cercavamo, John presente e molto gentile per le info e le richieste. Alle 17:00 tutti i giorni servono il the all’inglese con biscotti e salato nel bar della spiaggia. è un buon punto per le escursioni ma tenete conto che per andare a Stone Town ci si impiega più di un’ora. Il posto è perfetto per chi cerca relax e autenticità! Dovessimo tornare a Zanzibar sarebbe nuovamente una scelta azzeccata!

for the price charged the stay was considered okay as far as F&B was concerned. Food menu was fixed and basic with no nothing remarkable for both breakfast and dinner. rooms were decent and resort was nice otherwise. staff were also polite but language understanding needs more training.

Wir waren 7 Tage nach einer Rundreise im Oman Anfang Dezember im Ressort. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl dort. Die Lage ist super und wir konnten extrem gut am Hotel-eigenen Strand erholen. Ich kann sagen, dass ich mich noch nie so gut in einem Hotel entspannen konnte. Die Anlage ist sehr gut gepflegt und die Zimmer sehr sauber. Wirwaren zu zweit in einem riesigen Bungalow mit eigenem Pool. Das Reinigungspersonal verdient ein extra Lob. Das gesamte Personal war sehr freundlich und professionell. Wir hatten viel Spa? mit Cassiano an der Beachbar und dem Guest Relation Manager John, der stets gute Laune verbreitete und sich problemlos mit allen G?sten in Verbindung treten konnte. Ein Abend an der Bar, an dem er als DJ und S?nger aktiv war, wird uns in toller Erinnerung bleiben. Wir waren in der Nebensaison mit nur wenigen G?sten im Hotel. Dadurch war es einerseits sehr angenehm ruhig, andererseits war wohl das Essensangebot am Abend wohl nicht so vielf?ltig wie bereits von einigen G?sten berichtet. Dennoch war das Essen geschmacklich gut. Besonders genossen haben wir den üppigen Obstteller am Morgen und am Abend, sowie den frisch hergestellten Obstsaft aus exotischen Früchten am Morgen.

Una piccola perla incastonata su una splendida spiaggia. Solo 20 cottage per una capienza massima di 60 persone. Camere pulitissime, vengono pulite al mattino e alla sera preparate per la notte, ristorante spazioso e arieggiato con ottima cucina, personale cordiale e super disponibile. Beach bar sulla spiaggia dove si può anche pranzare, lettini e gazebo sempre disponibili e distanti l’uno dall’altro, privacy totale. Mare limpido e caldo, sabbia bianca, stelle marine…..davvero un piccolo paradiso. Grazie a St.John e al del personale che ci hanno stracoccolato….mi sa che ci torneremo ??

This IS Paradise Paradise on Earth does Exist at the The Sands Beach Resort on Dongwe Beach...I know from experience as me and my partner just returned as guests of this amazing resort hotel for 8 glorious nights and 9 amazing days. We began each day at 7 am: sipping on fresh brewed African coffee and watching the sunrise from our villa balcony viewing amongst one of the most dramatically beautiful island coastlines on the entire planet! If you're lucky the helpful and colorful Maasai tribe people on internship from the Tanzania mainland will take you on a journey through low tide exploration of marine life. It is like walking inside a huge aquari and totally safe and other worldly... def NatGeo worthy. People that criticize the beach do not do their research and realize that this beach experiences a rare earthly marvel twice daily!! TWO humongous shifts from high tide to low tide. The sea shimmers the most beautiful colors of the Indian Ocean in all its beauty. Lol, don't miss the point of this location...it is amazing and very secluded. The service of the hotel is 5 star, from front desk check-in with Khakiem and continued excellent service from Hassan and the entire FD team.? Also amazing daily restaurant service from Christopher and the entire restaurant team. Dinner each night was varied and 'Michelin Star-worthy' quality led by Chef Edgar and his entire team and Cassiano and his team kept the drinks flowing. Almost every night there was a different theme, and substantially large fresh fish caught daily and many nights prepared and grilled right near your table by the Chef: Imagine one night Blue Marlin, next night Jackfish, next night Dorado, the following night Tuna cooked on the grill to your liking, etc.? You get the message...simply amazing!? One night even a traditional Swahili buffet with live music and performance!!?? John head of Guest Relations GR pays amazing detailed attention to all of his guests, and truly makes you feel that you are the most important person on a truly amazing getaway vacation. People came and went as we were there for 9 days and the average stay is 3 or 4 nights -- but we saw this hotel completely full on a few nights and you still felt like you were the only guests on the property. And the massages by Diane. Omg...I am healed. If given the chance we will be back for another amazing restful welcoming stay at The Sands Beach Resort Zanzibar.
