I recently returned from Edinburgh and felt inspired to write a review of this gorgeous little hotel. We booked last minute as we were needing a place to stay that was pretty central and near the University as we were dropping our daughter there.... It certainly exceeded our expectations with a beautiful and elegant ground floor room which was spotless and cleaned beautifully every morning. The beds were comfy and the owners, Kenan & Marie popped a sofa bed in the room at no extra charge. They also added little luxuries like White Company soaps and the shower was great. We had a little extra touch which was prosecco wine in the fridge plus a great choice of teas and water. We felt like we had found a little gem and Kenan was so helpful in recommending places to eat and visit. Ask him about the Turkish restaurant in town. Fantastic! We also found a super little breakfast/lunch spot called Kiva, a ten minute walk from the hotel and Victor Hugo near the meadows which served the best french toast I have ever had.

Very welcoming, friendly staff, and prices are compatible with the benefits. I recommend it! Don't go to Edinburgh without visiting this hotel, it's a must-see.

The size of the family room is decent, and the window view is nice. The location is ok, as it is not far from the city centre. And they provided a fan quickly after request.

Great, classic guest house. Very attentive and friendly host, who gave some lovely dining recommendations as well. Reasonably priced and excellently situated. We were able to walk to the Royal Mile with some nice shopping and a park walk along the way.

Highly recommend. We had such a lovely stay. Very welcoming staff. Clean and stylish room. Newly refurbished, loved the bathroom, great shower. We had a beautiful view of Arthur's Seat from our window. Fantastic location walking distance to town and university. Also great bus service. We will definitely stay here again. A beautiful home from home.

Highly recommended if you just want a room. Spotless and attractively decorated. Very comfy beds and good shower. Nice garden view from downstairs family room. Breakfast not provided and tea, coffee, milk provided in room insufficient for us. Luckily, there’s a Tesco Express a 10 min walk away. Regular buses into city at bus stops opposite, but we mainly walked it. The walk is pleasant and there are lots of varied places to eat along the way. The room would benefit from from more hanging space / drawers for clothing
