We had an absolutely perfect stay at the Twelve Apostles from Friday 19th December to Saturday 27th. We were a party of five adults (my husband and I, my daughter, son in law and their 3 year old girl and 10 month old baby) and my son. We had two one-bedroom sea-facing suites and a standard room for my son. We loved the hotel with its magnificent location with views of the ocean and Table Top mountain. The sea-facing one bedroom suites were gorgeous, lots of space for. two cots and baby and kid stuff and fabulous views from the spacious balcony. The toddler adored the rock pool and main pool and also playing upstairs in the play room. We all used the gym. The breakfast was great, and the food in both Cafe Grille and Azure was fantastic. Most of all, the service was incredible and all the staff so helpful and kind to the toddler and baby. We all ate lunch in the Cafe Grille every day, and each evening two of the adults would eat there with the children while the other three adults enjoyed a late dinner in the Azure. The sushi in the Cafe Grille is exceptional, and we all ate far too much. The kid menu was perfect for the toddler, and the staff were very kind in accommodating special requests for the baby. I would like. to highlight the fantastic service and friendliness of Yonela, Jasmina, Zoleka and Nozuko in the Cafe Grille. While I don't recall the names of all the other staff who cleaned the rooms, drove the shuttle and helped us in the reception, they were all absolutely wonderful. One day when we had take the shuttle to Camps Bay, our toddler wanted to come back early and I messaged the Concierge and they immediately sent a shuttle to get us outside the regular schedule. The reception were incredibly accommodating and gave us a small room on our last day so the children could nap in their cots before we left at 4 pm (we had checked out of our rooms at. 11 am). The whole stay was wonderful in every respect.

I visited the Twelve Apostles Spa yesterday with a friend, and it was truly one of the most amazing spa experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Sharnay, whose beautiful smile immediately made us feel at ease. She escorted us to the waiting area where we could help ourselves to delicious nibbles, still or sparkling water, and even rooibos tea — such a lovely touch on arrival. We were then shown to the pools, where we had an absolutely incredible time. The peace and tranquillity of this place is unmatched. The moment you step in, you feel calm — the atmosphere alone is healing. I would also like to acknowledge Amanda, who went above and beyond. After the pools, she noticed that our gowns were wet and kindly offered us fresh gowns and slippers. That level of attentiveness and care really stood out. The ladies’ changing rooms were absolutely beautiful and exceptionally well equipped — from a Parlux hairdryer and GHD to thoughtful essentials like tampons. Everything you could possibly need was provided, which made the experience even more comfortable. Thereafter, we enjoyed our Rasul treatment, which was simply amazing. With champagne in hand, we got to apply different moisturisers and body scrubs — such a relaxing and indulgent experience. We ended off with a hot stone massage by Misa and Deslynn, and I can honestly say it was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. They were incredibly professional, applied the perfect amount of pressure, and made the entire experience unforgettable. I will definitely be recommending the Twelve Apostles Spa, and I truly hope to return again soon. A world-class experience from start to finish. ?????????? A true five-star sanctuary of calm, luxury, and outstanding service.

We stayed at the hotel in December 2025. It was the first stay on our tour of South Africa and what a place to start! Travelling as a family of 5 ( Aged 74, 44,41, 15 and 12 ) we really need a hotel to cater for all and this really did that. We were given beautiful rooms next door to our sons and my mum was at the other end of the hotel in an equally lovely room. On arrival we were greeted with treats, wine and complementary caps that our sons loved! So many positives... Firstly, the pool area is small but we never had a problem getting a lounger or two. The hotel itself is clean and well maintained. The staff were all incredible, this was our first time in South Africa and I really did not know what to expect, the staff here really set the bar high for the rest of our trip! The food was amazing, we ate at the restaurant for dinner a couple of times and enjoyed the breakfast each day. Concierge were knowledgable and they organised a tour for us last minute to see the penguins amongst other things which was great and super reasonable. I would say that the hotel does seem to attract a lot of guests that are not hotel guests which can make the bar area and balcony busy, it did not really bother us that much as we had pre booked a couple of evenings but one night in patricular we could not get in anywhere and the staff arrnaged a table outside the resturant on the terrace for us to sit and have drinks which was very much appreciated. All in all I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone. Thank you to all the amazing staff for a lovely few days!

We had a wonderful birthday celebration evening on the Atlantic Terrace with fantastic decorations, excellent service, and delicious food. The weather was perfect, and we even had a pod of orcas right in the bay. The guests were thrilled, and we were very happy.

Stopped for a few drinks with freshly visiting Cape Town. What a beautiful location with amazing views. We only stayed for drinks, but amazed at how reasonably priced they were for a premium hotel. Hoping to stay for food, before we return to the uk.

We stayed at The Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa as the final stop of our two-week trip through South Africa and had very high expectations for a 5-star spa hotel. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. While the sea view rooms were lovely, the mountain-facing rooms are in urgent need of renovation (very small bathrooms, outdated bathtubs, poorly sealed windows and extreme noise during wind). The pool area is very cramped, often overcrowded by external visitors who mainly come for photos or photo shoots, which takes away from the exclusivity expected at this level. Even as hotel guests, lunch seating was sometimes only available with a reservation. The biggest letdown was the spa: despite going to the spa reception immediately after arrival, we were unable to book a single massage as everything was fully booked. In a 5-star spa hotel, in-house guests should clearly have priority over external visitors. No follow-up, apology, or compensation was offered. Overall, the hotel feels dated and in need of renovation, especially in public areas and the pool area. Several sunbed cushions were soiled with bird droppings and staff did not proactively assist with replacements. Overall, not the relaxing luxury spa experience one would expect from a 5-star hotel.

An incredible hotel, with warm, dedicated hospitality. From the efficient and friendly arrival, to the pride the team expressed whilst showing us around their property. The seafacing junior suite and its views were stunning. The hiking trails amazing. The food and drink were good too. You can tell there was care and consideration in all elements of this hotel, right down to the tiniest of details. Can’t wait to return! An icon!

Encouraged by many positive reviews, we took a 2-room suite at the 12 Apostles at the end of September 2025 so we’d have room enough to recover from jet lag on our own individual schedules. Foolish. The 2 rooms were divided by only a half wall, not even shutters, so there was no respite from light at an inconvenient hour. Food at the hotel was disappointing, fresh oysters on the Breakfast buffet (though didn’t notice anyone having them then) but served at dinner in a crowded dish with some sort of sweet sauce. Yuk. Food generally was disappointing. The bar had a soccer match playing on the large TV screen behind the live singer. Didn’t know whether to feel more sorry for her or for anyone who wanted to watch the match. The hotel is fully 30 minutes from any alternative eats or diversions and you might well have to wait 30 minutes or more for the shuttle to collect you from town.
