Really enjoyed our stay. The room was very comfortable, lovely and quiet - so peaceful sleeping was a given; the breakfast excellent (mixed fruit & yoghurt and full English a must) and the actual location couldn't be bettered. Nigel and staff, the perfect hosts.

A beautiful boutique B&B in a great location. We were welcomed by Nigel, check in was very straight forward & a welcome drink was offered. Excellent advice was given in respect of evening dining - Raphaels, a lovely Italian Restaurant which offers a discount to anyone staying at The Castle House. The bedroom was lovely & clean and the bathroom was immaculate. A lovely breakfast was provided in a lovely breakfast room the following morning. Our stay from start to finish was excellent. Many thanks to everyone at the property.

Beautiful place the Castle House authentic stylish and cosy in the Richmond suite open fire comfy bed a dream to sleep in Breakfast gorgeous porridge delicious Host Nigel friendly and helpful whatever the ask Richmond a lovely place with eateries and coffee shops and lovely walks Take a trip to the Station Cinema cute .

Nigel looked after us extremely well. He was very flexible about our early departure and took care of all the arrangements quickly and pleasantly. He could not have made us feel more welcome. The food was excellent and the surroundings are comfortable. The room could have been bigger - but not in such a venerable building. Highly recommended.

Nigel was a brilliant host…nothing was too much trouble and everything was so good. Our room with its four poster was lovely and warm and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was well served and of a high standard. No complaints about anything…..defiantly five stars.

Andrea, the only member of the team we met, was great – very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was very tasty. Freshly cooked. Refreshments in the room were also good – a fair selection of drinks and biscuits. The central location of the B&B is ideal, once you have figured out the requirements of the parking system which means that you must move your car to one of the paid car parks during the day. Obviously, this is not a problem if you are going away from Richmond for the day but as we wanted to explore the town it was just something we needed to do. The B&B itself is full of character due to the buildings age – the floors are decidedly uneven in places! Everything was spotlessly clean but, at least in the rooms we occupied, there is some scope for refurbishment. Many rooms don’t have showers so be sure to specify this when booking it you need a walk-in shower rather than a bath.

We had a two night stay in this lovely hotel. The host was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and all local produce.Richmond is a nice place and this hotel is ideally situated.I would highly recommend it.The room we stayed in was very quiet and peaceful.

Excellent service. I would give six stars if I could. Accommodating to our needs and willing to go the extra mile. If you're doing the England coast to coast hike, this accommodation will be a highlight of your journey. Nigel is one of the best.

My husband and I have just been back to this very special little hotel for a second visit. We stayed there last September for our 27th wedding anniversary, and last night for the thirtieth anniversary of our first date. Last time we were in the Wensley Suite which was gorgeous and this time we stayed in the Richmond Suite which was even more gorgeous. I cannot praise this hotel highly enough - the staff are friendly and welcoming, the decor is lovely, the rooms luxurious and the breakfasts generous and delicious. Being slightly tucked away from the centre of the marketplace means it is very quiet and peaceful at night, despite being only a minute's walk from the middle of town. We will definitely be back!

The room was amazing. We had a great meal at the Royal Indian next door to the hotel. Richmond overall is a beautiful little gem of a town nestled in the Yorkshire dales . Had a fantastic stay. Amazing Breakfast, and a wonderful host rounded a perfect weekend off.
