We stayed at the Dionyssos 1 appts, these were very small and had limited space for clothes etc, ok for one person not two. Also appts 1-5 are above the bar and pool area, which looks ok if you are sitting on your balcony having a drink but when there is entertainment on it is deafening and at times noise could still be heard at 3am! We would advise not to eat there,dont get me wrong the food is good, but you can find cheaper and better in Arillas itself. The two brothers who run it are always more friendly with the guests who regularly spend there money within the complex. In the rooms there is a notice stating that you would get 10% of your first meal. This never happened, Also every Saturday evening they have a bbq at 12 euro pp. Happy hour is from 7-9pm. We decided to try out the bbq evening as norm we bought drinks (bbq started 8pm ) didnt realise until later that we didnt get the happy hour prices! Also the bbq food was very poor for the price you paid. We booked this particular appartment because we read all the good reviews on it but as ive said its not all its made out to be! On a more positive note Arillas itself is a lovely unspoilt location

Clean, well equipped apartments with a beautiful sea view and delightful hosts. The beach is just across the road, sandy and shallow - perfect for young children. The pool is also beautiful and a very generous size.
After returning from our first stay 2 years ago, we were disappointed that the 2 good nearby restaurants within walking distance have closed, but within 10 minutes by car there are several good tavernas to choose from.

We booked this within a week of travelling so I was a little worried as to what it would be like. We were very pleasantly surprised with what we found! Arillas is an amazing little place, perfect for a quiet get away with plenty of tavernas to choose from. The sunsets are amazing. All in all we totally fell in love with it. Most of all we loved how welcome we were made to feel by Jimmy and his family. We felt totally at home. their food as also amazing! The rooms are basic, typically Greek! However they were spacious and the aircon was good. We will certainly go back next year, without doubt the nicest place we have stayed so far.

This was our third stay at the Dionyssos 1 and we plan to return again in October. I can't think of anything negative to say about these apartments or Arillas as everything was great. Rooms have everything we need in a self catering apartment and are always clean. The complex has excellent facilities and one of the best swinning pools I've used in Greece. The on-site restaurant serves excellent food and we ate breakfast and lunch there most days as it was so good, also had dinner there a couple of times which was also excellent. We also drank in the bar every night as the beer was good, very generous measures for spirits and good music and company. Arillas is great for walking, has a good sandy beach and is a great place to chill out. All the restaurants we tried in the village were very good but we returned many times to Vavilas fish taverna as we loved the food and atmosphere there. Prices everywhere were much the same as last year so don't be put off by negative comments about prices in Greece; it's still great value. We met lots of return visitors to these apartments which is all the recommendation you need; this place is great and I would highly recommend it.

When we booked this with Thomas Cook, we were looking for somewhere inexpensive so were hoping for the best that it wouldn't be somewhere really basic and horrible. Luckily we were very pleasantly surprised. The rooms are clean and have everything you need (apart from a topping up of toilet paper) and more importantly, Jimmy is so friendly that he makes every single visitor feel welcome and important. We had such a lovely holiday in Arillas and a big part of it was to do with Jimmy and his family. Arillas is also a great resort, very traditionally greek and although only a small place, it is very near San Stefanos and Afionas which are walking distance away. There are also lots of travel agencies around to book trips further afield - we strongly, strongly do not recommend using Olga's travel - you will be wasting your money by going with them! The Thomas Cook excursions, although quite a bit more expensive, are much better value for money.

Ok lets start, Its a Greek room don't expect the Ritz. It's clean and tidy and does what you need it to do. They are cleaned daily and more than serve their pupose. We have been to Greece several times and Corfu more than any other. I am yet to find a better host than Jimmy. His sole intention is to make you have a great holiday. He never once tried to sell me anything I didn't need other than the shots at 3 in the morning but that's another story. The food his wife cooks (Vicky) is fantastic. English breakfast at 5.30 euro cannot be beaten, real sausages, bacon and beans plus loads more. I could talk about his food all day I never found anything less than fantastic. Pool area is great no towels out in the morning, no need. A short stroll to the beach and more restaurants than you would want. If you like walking there are some great one's. This was our first time here doubt it will be the last but then again everyone we met had been dozzens of time before so not totally unexpected. O yes Mozzies take spray you will need it. We've just returned and have to say that we had no sleep for the whole 2 weeks! We had an apartment over the pool and were kept awake every night - sometimes until 3.30 am - not too good when you have children. We found the two brothers who ran the place to be quite rude at times and very sarcastic -almost as if we were too much trouble. Sorry but we won't be returning. Just a tip for people who are thinking of going - avoid the start of August. There was a large party (aprox 20) who return every year and can make you feel a bit like an outsider.

One week in paradise at the DIONYSOS hotel .. family run Hotel by the DIONYSOS family , Alex , Effie & Athena beautiful family beautiful people and very hospitable and accommodating.. as a solo traveller, I was greeted by a warm welcome and a smile and always felt welcome the first thing in the morning or late at night … Alex‘s barbecue Thursdays is a pure joy and great value .Alex himself is very knowledgeable on the area and is keen to talk with people. Both daughters are beautiful people and so helpful and accommodating. DIONYSOS is kept to a high standard of cleanliness.. I can highly recommend the DIONYSOS for a getaway to paradise. Throughly enjoyed my stay in paradise.. and will miss you all … until next time Matt

We have just returned from the Dionysys Apartments in Stalis and ask you to look at all of the good posts of this lovely hotel. I needed a holiday where I could relax and enjoy sitting around the lovely clean pool, having a drink and walking only a few minutes to the beach The food was great cooked by Papa playboy and this is exactly what was achieved. It was just a wonderful experience and we will return next year. The apartment and hotel who was very clean with no complaints at all and Rula does a wonderful job keeping that way. The genuine warmth of the staff, Papa Playboy, Efi and Athena, and the stunning natural beauty of the surroundings made for an absolutely unforgettable holiday. We loved our holiday to Stallis and the Dionysos apartment's. Just waiting for June flights to be released and we will be back!!
