Very clean hotel, amazing staff and an excellent breakfast.

We stayed at Kloof Street Hotel and found it to be a mixed experience. The location is right in the heart of Cape Town’s main street, which is great for access to bars, restaurants and the general buzz of the city. But that convenience comes with a major drawback: it gets loud, especially in the early hours. If you’re a light sleeper, this is worth knowing in advance because the noise does carry into the rooms.
The rooms themselves were much smaller than expected based on the photos. They’re clean and modern, but definitely compact, which made the stay feel a little tighter than anticipated. Another ongoing frustration was the ironing situation. Each time you need an iron or ironing board, you have to call down and request one—there are none kept in the rooms. Not only can it take a long time for one to be brought up, but you’ll then get a call asking for it back almost immediately, as if you’re borrowing something rare and highly sought after.
Breakfast was also on the lean side. The buffet is fine if you’re not fussy, but the selection is limited and doesn’t match the standard you’d expect for the price.
Overall, the hotel is stylish and perfectly placed for exploring Cape Town, but the noise, small rooms, and lack of convenience around basic amenities made the stay feel less smooth than it could have been.

Wonderful stay while in Cape Town. Rooms were very spacious and staff very kind and helpful. Location wise was very central and a short uber to main sites to visit. Would recommend when visiting Cape Town.

Overall a great hotel for the money, the staff ultra friendly and kind. The room was small, a little noisy because it was facing the street but clean with great soaps and body lotion.

Friendly and helpful staff. They did resolve a late night noise problem with the guest in the next room. Maintenance of the room and hallways need attention. Our floor was dirty. The breakfast was substantial. Parking (additional cost) was convenient.
