Location not good , surrounding of homeless. My wife was scared to walk around especially at night . Staff not friendly. Other guests were loud late at night . Shower was cold. Hotel daily parking expensive . I will not go back .

Excellent resort with the ex y of a nice view and a pool. It does have a huge rooftop lounge area that is accommodating with bathrooms, grills, and sinks. Loved this area the most.

This hotel had the most beautiful rooftop patio with bbq's, a sink area, loungers, tables and umbrellas, beautiful plants and cute lights at night. It was a 15-20min walk to the waterfront and about a 10min walk to 5th Avenue where there were tons of places to eat. Staff went above and beyond being friendly and efficient and helpful. I would definitely come back again!

The hotel had an old world charm, very 1920's Art Deco style. However the rooms were modern with lots of amenities, like a full kitchen in the standard studio room. Also a sofa/bed. The room on the 4th floor was quiet although there was considerable traffic in the area. There was a large rooftop space with great views of San Diego. You could also grill or barbecue. Overall, a wonderful experience staying in this hotel that I highly recommend. Sorry, no pool but it does have a small fitness center.

Situated near both downtown and Balboa Park, the resort was the perfect place for basing our sightseeing trips. The free electric Circuit Cars will take you anywhere within the downtown area and the nearest stop for the city trolly tours is with an easy walk. The staff at the resort was friendly, courteous, helpful and professional without exception. The decor at the resort and in our room appeared new and well kept. We especially liked the art deco design in the lobby and elevator.

How low can you go and when you get there, can you rise to the occasion? The throne in our suite was one foot off the ground. I suggest changing the commode to suit the height of the average person and include a grab rail to provide added safety should the floor be slippery from a bath or shower. Otherwise, the staff members were attentive and accommodating and the resort, although small, was spotless.
