Recently refurbished, this elegant hotel has beautiful rooms and is very comfortable. Staff are all delightful, knowledgable and nothing was too much trouble. Sadly we were meeting friends at a different restaurant and so we missed dinner which judging by the delicious menu was excellent! Wide choice of hot breakfast options together with a very extensive cold buffet. I'd probably book rooms other than at the front of the hotel as it was a bit noisy. Other than this, it was a lovely stay.

One of the best hotel experiences of my life! Staff were so helpful, food was amazing, beds very comfortable and entire vibe of the hotel a 1000/10! The breakfast especially was amazing. Highly recommend!

We had an awesome experience at the Grand Hotel. Atmosphere was nice, friendly staff from reception to room service, restaurant waiters, manager and cleaners... everyone was friendly and helpful. The food was great!! Room was clean and the interior is BEAUTIFUL! World class. 5 STARS from us. LOVED OUR STAY!! We will be back.

The Grand Hotel proved to be the ideal two night stopover between Knysna and Cape Town. The food in their restaurant was excellent as were the breakfasts. There is no air conditioning in the bedrooms but the fan helped to keep the temperature bearable. The hotel was quiet and well maintained with a sheltered pool and loungers under umbrellas.

This is a high quality hotel with excellent staff. Our room felt very luxurious. The pool with many loungers is a real benefit. The quality of staff, service and food is top notch.

We had the most delicious dinner at the Grand! The Seabass was cooked to perfection and the curry was perfect! Friendly and competent service and a nice cosy fire!

This hotel was the last stop on our 10 day road trip and what a treat it was! The rooms are beautiful, the food was amazing and the staff are attentive and lovely. Attention to detail in everything they do, from the hot water bottle in your bed at night to lighting a fire outside just for us, so we could have a sundowner at the outside bar. Mandy, the owner, is incredible, warm and hospitable, and has the best suggestions of where to go in the area. Mandy you are an absolute diamond! Although this is a 5 star hotel, it’s definitely not pretentious and we loved our time here.

What a wonderful stay we had at the Grand Hotel and grand it is! Every detail has been carefully thought through and curated to make guests feels right at home and wrapped in luxury. The hosts and staff were equally wonderful and we are looking forward to returning soon. Andy & Sonja, Knysna
