I regret to say that our recent stay at Sukhvilas fell significantly short of our expectations. We chose this hotel for a one-night stay in Chandigarh, intending to relax after a long drive from Manali and before our flight to Mumbai. Given its reputation as the best in Chandigarh, we expected a seamless and restful experience. Upon our evening arrival, we were dismayed to find red insects in the room and a lizard in the bathroom. We needed to shower before dinner after a badminton session, but only my daughter managed to do so before our room was changed, which delayed our plans. Although we appreciated the upgrade to a tent room, our aim to freshen up before dining at Kaanan was thwarted. The next morning, we were further disappointed to find a dead roach in the upgraded room. Additionally, our spa experience was far from satisfactory. My wife and I found the therapists inadequately trained, and the hydro facility we had planned to use post-treatment was occupied. We were redirected to another room for steam, but the steam did not work, leading us to a third room. By the time it was functional, we were directed back to the hydro facility. After using the sauna, steam, and jacuzzi, we found only one towel in the treatment room and no hairdryer for my wife. When we informed the staff, they offered only an apology and suggested using the salon’s dryer, which involved walking in robes between facilities – an inconvenience we did not expect from Oberoi. While the staff's efforts, particularly those of Gaurav and Ansh, were commendable, and our dining experience at Kaanan and breakfast service from Utkarsh and the chef were highlights, these positives did not compensate for the overall disappointment. Having just stayed at the Wildflower in Shimla, our expectations were understandably high. Unfortunately, the experience at Sukhvilas did not measure up, and room upgrades and discounts cannot rectify the deficiencies we encountered.

The hospitality was outstanding, with special thanks to Aastha, Prabhjit, and Ravi who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. The food was amazing, and a big shoutout to Chef Saurabh for his spot-on recommendations. The serving staff was aware about our food allergies, ingredients and proactively checked with the chef whenever we had questions. They even offered fantastic recommendations for our children, ensuring everyone had a safe and delicious meal. On our last day, they got us special sweets with a 'Bon Voyage' message - Ghewar, Kheer, Gulab jamun & a Waffle! We were there for the Father's Day weekend & they made it special with complimentary cake & celebrations for us. While the property and hospitality were fantastic, having some indoor sports facilities like tennis, badminton, or table tennis would have been a great addition for guests looking to stay engaged.

Hey All … What an experience!!?When u enter the property , u feel like entering your own house of comfort where u can relax and enjoy the best hospitality by the great team of Oberoi Sukhvillas ??It was our anniversary trip . We had a premier Room later switched to Royal Tent with garden The check-in was very smooth . the gardens were very well maintained ,swimming pool is very clean , gym facilities were good . There is no steam or sauna attached to gym ? Food : Amazing food with good options in breakfast (should try there fresh cooked stuffed Parathas , poori . Must try Kannan restaurant (dal makahni , palak panner) . The Italian food is also very good . Comfort: the hotel is packed with comfort as the staff is always there for u .?? Cleanliness : No words .. 100% clean and hygienic .?? Toiletries : forest essential .?? Staff : Hats off to the entire team of Oberoi and chef Saurabh for excellent food . Location : its located in New Chandigarh , the closest market in Omaxe residential . Which is 10-15 min max by Car. You can get all Grocerry if u need anything . This is a resort of the highest caliber, by global standards. The property itself is one of the more beautifully designed and managed. Located at the a backdrop of Siswan Forest Range and the foothills of the Himalayas, The Oberoi Sukhvilas Spa Resort presents a landscape of beautiful gardens with fountains, reflection pools and traditional architecture. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed GM Gaurav Issar & front office manager Mr Apoorv Jawa & his team. It felt so special & cherished meeting Gaurav Issar at one more Oberoi property. Check in formalities were completed swiftly with refreshing welcome drink. Mr Apoorv gave us briefed explanations about the property & was very kind to arrange butler for us during our stay. During entire stay Mr Pawan as a butler was with us & understood & attended all our requirements. Harsh sing & Harleen thn after took us to our room we had booked. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was particularly luxurious and we had a nice view of garden, which was lovely as the light softened in the afternoons and the peacocks were strolling around. The bed was quite firm, but still comfortable. The room staff arranged a particularly nice welcome for us, surprises at multiple points throughout, and capitalized on both big and little opportunities to make our stay special. Rooms and bathroom both were very much high tech & impressed me at the maximum. The room was smartly & cozily optimised. During our stay housekeeping staff Shivam took our care, he was attentive. Housekeeping services were quick. The two resturants offer a delectable spread at all meals. The food is impeccable and we ate quite a bit trying different flavours at Anant Mahal and Kannan. Just enjoy the food, and if you really crave something, I am sure the chef Saurabh Tyagi will make it for you. Mr Saurabh is one of the excellent & most talented, skilful chef I’ve met at the Oberoi property. Neeraj as a server served us every plate hot & fresh on the table. My dad had soar throat & Neeraj used his knowledge to make a warm Todi/Kahwa, which helped dad a lot during stay. We had some complaints at the starting but in no time complaint were solved. The food is consistently very good, with moments of excellence. The Spa is heavenly and treatment and masseuse are really good. The number of treatments are not too many, thus each one is expertly executed. I say this because I am not an easy one to please when it comes to spa. I specially loved how they’ve made their warm/Hot bed using marbles. Oberoi Sukhvilas is unbelievably beautiful property. It is huge, very green and extremely well maintained by the Oberois. It was perfect place to relax I have ever been to. Great staff, food, beautiful and comfortables room. I had great time at spa meeting Ayurveda doctor there, who gave me a lot of good tips and energy. Thank you! There are two restaurants, which offers Indian and multi international cuisine.

Oberoi Sukhvilas is unbelievably beautiful property. It is huge, very green and extremely well maintained by the Oberois. The hospitality of the staff is unbeatable. There was a very warm welcome by Apporv and he explained us everything so nicely to make it very comfortable for our family from the moment we entered the property. The food is amazing and we ate quite a bit trying different flavours at Anant Mahal and Kannan. Entire staff is very warm and they took great care of us including Utkarsh. Thanks once again Apporv and the entire Sukhvilas team for making our stay memorable. We look forward to visiting again!!

Excellent customer service, quality rooms and meaningful room tariff. Great property and also the location. Chef Saurabh Tyagi is always there to take care with some fabulous food. He is easily on the top of the list of fabulous chefs that I have come across the globe. The Spa is the number reason for my top score which has fantastic staff in general, but the whole Sukhvilas outset make it a great place to relax and rejuvenate. Mr. Apoorv Jawa leaves no details unattended to make the guest's stay great. The SukhVilas Spa is the reason for my great experience and thanks to the support and guidance of their HQ Dr. Anuradha Mathad. The Ayurvedic treatments are specifically taken care of by Miss Usha, who I think is easily one of the best Ayurvedic therapist I have come across. Not once, not twice, but my opinion comes from Mis Usha’s consistently extraordinary healing treatments over many visits. The spa has a large contingent of other equally good therapists. Until last year she as supported and guided by Dr. Ushakiran who was excellent, but now the Spa has an even more fantastic Ayurvedic doctor with extraordinary healing approach and services, and also the compassion and magically positive energy Dr. Suchitra brings. Dr. Suchitra offers the best Sound Healing, Ayurvedic and Spa-centric consultative advice with focus on healing, and also her knowledge of many other holistic viewpoints that is magically great for guests like me who are looking for health rejuvenation and healing.

The ambience of the resort was good, breakfast spread was quite nice and staff was courteous and helpful. However, the resort is not very user-friendly towards those who are elderly or differently abled. The outdoor lightning at night is inadequate and the landscaping with uncovered narrow water channels is a cause of concern. We had a family get together with at least seven individuals who were above the age of 70 years. Two of them tripped and fell because of inadequate lighting. One of them tripped into the narrow water channel in the middle of the pathway leading up to the main building and had minor injury. Fortunately, she wasn't badly hurt. The rooms are aligned in clusters of 6 and it is great for big families. But again, when I asked one staff that we needed more lighting in the common verandah of the clusters, there was no provision. However, it was a bit disappointing to see that a property like the Oberoi has compromised safety over ambience. Again, lots of safety hazards were there in that verandah because of landscaping that involved uncovered ditches with stones. We asked for flashlights which weren't available. It was a bit disappointing to see such oversights of safety hazards in a property of the standard of the Oberoi. Safety should not be compromised for ambience.

Oberoi has done it again with this 'newer' resort outside of Chandigargh. Well worth the trip to escape and relax. Get a tent room, it's worth it for the ambiance and feeling of being in the outdoors. The restaurant staff and pool staff are very attendance. The spa service was the best I've had in India anywhere. Mid to late March is perfect time to visit this area, not too hot and warm enough to swim and hike. We visited the resort a year ago for a lunch and walk around. Then we decided to come back this year and stay three nights in a tent room. (It's a tent like roof but fully clean and modern room inside). We're so glad we did as the staying experience is so beyond just dropping in for a lunch. you won't regret going here to unwind and breathe some clean outdoor air. There are so many beautiful wild birds in the area as well. The staff really go beyond to make your comfortable. They did so many little things to treat us like royalty. Chocolates at evening, samples of local food during the meals, special requests for food items not on the menu etc. flexible timings of room service.

Not very often you come across an experience which touches your soul. I am not the only one giving 5 stars to this property for my review, but there are many in past and I am sure there would be many in future as well. The kind of detailing you would see here is impeccable. Each of the staff members are so well groomed to talk, to serve, to smile, to greet. These guys don’t miss a beat. It was impossible to find out any flaws in there working at any point of time. Its like the army of ants (All working for 1 uniform and clear goal and that is customer satisfaction). I am an avid traveller, and have stayed in numerous hotels, and a lot of Luxury hotels as well. Most of them, if there is a problem during the stay and we inform them, then we get a reply by email saying please give us a chance to serve you next time, or stay with us next time and we will improvise etc etc. This property had a clear understanding for getting it done right in first go and if at all there is any error, to rectify it there and then itself fin the same stay. This time around, we were celebrating my daughter’s 1st birthday and had booked 2 Premier Rooms. I was upgraded to Royal Tent Room with Garden with hotel compliments on last day of our stay. Room: (Premier Room) The room was really very spacious and beautifully made. It had abundance of day light coming through the windows (Which of course could be closed using hidden wooden doors to stop day light completely or could use an automatic curtain to reduce it). The bed was very spacious and also had a sofa chair with ottoman for relaxing. One of the windows had a sit out made to enjoy the view and also to unwind. The entire room’s lights, fan, Aircon and even TV could be operated with the ipad the hotel had provided. Not only this, they also had a key hole camera that can be checked and room opened from Ipad itself. This was where luxury meets modern sophisticated technology. Room: (Royal Tent Room with Garden) This was one of the most beautiful rooms I have stayed in. The room’s roof was a tent which made living in it so romantic and so different. Of course, the room was very well air conditioned (it rather had two air-conditioning towers). The room had a working desk just behind the bed and a curtained partition for the in room bathing tub and bathing enclosure etc. The room bedroom side had glass doors all around which magically could sheer down with a click of a button. In the temperature is favourable, all doors can be opened to have a fell to be living in an open garden / jungle. I always wanted to visit Sukhvillas to stay in one of these rooms. Cherry on the cake, the hotel staff beautifully decorated the room with balloons and pictures of my daughter before we changed our room. They even prepared a themed cake for my daughter.
