Shower that has a fair water speed and stays in the holder ( kept falling out and had to hold onto

Floor and bathrooms didn’t look like they’d had a proper clean in a while .

Rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. If noise bothers you, I would request an upstairs room as we could hear people moving above us all night. Staff were friendly, restaurant and bar were great for a drink and meal.

Although staff was helpful, this hotel was not worth the money at all. It was clean but it did not look clean because sofa and kitchen supplies looked like old discards from a thrift shop.

Nice clean room in good location. It was extremely hot during our stay and the provided fans just weren’t enough to keep us cool at night-AC would have been great

Simple amenities but enough for what you need

The shower was extremely small, you couldn’t stand in it without touching the walls or the shower curtain. It was a shower-over-bath setup, and the bath itself was smaller than standard and not even wide enough for an adult’s feet to stand comfortably in.
The room felt rough and poorly maintained, with chipped paint and marks all over the walls. The towels had random blonde hairs on them, and the duvet had a visible stain.
The hallway leading to the room was so narrow you couldn’t walk down it while carrying a bag beside you. During our stay the TV stopped working, and the milk supplied was left out on the desk instead of being refrigerated, which was particularly concerning as we stayed during a heatwave.
Overall, the room was far smaller than it appeared in the photos. Unless you are very small in stature, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Photos are definitely misleading.

Room was spotless. Only problem was I had to walk from one end of the Lodge to the other with my bag.

Just felt safe there,our room was downstairs,so we heard the folks upstairs moving about,lesson learnt for next time.

We stayed in the basic room. It was very small but adequate. The room was clean, the bed was firm and the walls are nit sound proofed in any way. Having stayed in many similar hotels in Taupo, the standard of the Lakefront is comparable with them. It was great to be relatively close to town.

Comfy bed, room nice and clean.
Was on the ground floor, perhaps a room on a level up may of been better, will do next time.
Great location
Right across the road from the lake which was lovely, and an easy walk into town.
