Guest：This was one of the best rental cottages we ever stayed in. It was beautiful, charming, thoughtfully provisioned and in a lovely quiet setting just minutes from the National Park. To top it all off, we were unexpectedly supplied with delectable breakfast choices including gourmet hand-crafted pastries. Bill met us when we arrived and was extremely welcoming. If I could whisper in his ear I would suggest one tiny change to make things more comfortable. Otherwise, this place is amazingly perfect.
Guest：I'd always heard the phrase "go to your happy place," but it wasn't until I first stayed at the Volcano Teapot that I found where mine was. The cottage is a private paradise: while there are other places around Volcano where you can drink in the unique beauty of this part of the island, none will come close to offering the enchantment you will feel when entering this magical place. The difference is that anywhere on the grounds, you can feel the love and care that the Hosts Bill and Antoinette have put into building this place with their hands from the ground up. Bill's sure carpenter's hand and "Tea Mistress" Antoinette's whimsy imbue the place with the warmth of their lifelong partnership, leaving a coziness against the brisk Volcano weather that you'll feel as palpably as the working fireplace. The cottage is spacious and immaculate, and the decor is both inimitably quirky and rooted in the islands. Bill is attentive but never obtrusive. Like other hosts, he can recommend amazing restaurants and activities, but more importantly he is well-versed in the lore of the people and history of the Big Island if you want to learn: everything has a story, from the plants to the pastries in the generously-furnished kitchen. Bill also knows the Volcanoes National Park like the back of his hand, and if you're lucky enough to stay during an eruption, he will be sure you won't miss it. This magical, mist-shrouded sanctuary is the loveliest place we have ever stayed, and while you will have to constantly fight the urge to take more photos inside and in the garden of this impossibly picturesque place, if you're like me you will find it so unforgettable that you won't even need them to journey back in your mind to this slice of paradise.

Bill and Antoinette are the perfect hosts, from providing an impeccable atmosphere, to fresh fruit, baked goods, and breakfast goodies, they excel! The grounds give you the feeling that you’re in the middle of your own personal rain forest. I really can’t say enough about our stays at the cottage other than I can’t wait for our next visit!

Bill and Antionette are so generous with sharing their precious cottage with all the details and amenities anyone could ask for in a B and B. We had so much fun tasting all of the different teas, walking their beautiful property and the country roads surrounding the cottage. Every morning they brought fresh pastries. The refrigerator was stocked with yogurts, fruits, eggs, sausages and more. Bottled water, juice and milk are also provided. The best B and B host and hostess ever! Mahalo Bill and Antionette!
