The rooms are quiet clean and the staff at the reception are quiet courteous. The only thing i will recommend is that they need to improve their breakfast menu.

However, it would have been nice to have bottles of water in the room.
Secondly, I do not expect to have to pay a nightly charge of ￡13.50 to park my car, on top of a not so cheap room rate.
This would certainly deter me from staying again as the location is not in the centre of a town or city.

The receptionist (Magda) was very rude.
I was told by the call support team that I could check-in anytime. Probably because I booked one of the supposed executive rooms (on the third floor)
At the reception at about 12:30 on 26/02/26, the receptionist ignored our arrival , but busy on a phone call, no Hello!!!.
When I notified her about the information we got from the contact support team, she brushed us off, insisting that checking is 3pm or we pay ￡20.
She literally told me to my face that she was busy with other important tasks.
When we insisted that her claims differ from what we were told earlier same day, she now checked our reservation on the system and immediately stopped arguing.
Literally the worst reception service I have ever experienced.
She still didn’t apologised.
Check in was quick and staff polite and efficient. Room was spacious and clean as was the bathroom. Bed very comfortable. Evening meal in restaurant was of a high standard and good sized portions - staff in restaurant very attentive and friendly.

The staff were extremely welcoming. The room was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable and got a good nights sleep. Had dinner in the restaurant every night. Sophie and the team were great, food was delicious. Used the gym while there as well and it had a good range of equipment to use. I will definitely book again the next time I am in the area.
We stopped at TY Newport Hotel to visit a show at the ICC Wales venue half a mile away. Reception staff were polite and courteous throughout our stay.
Most things were available within the room like , Hairdryer , Iron and ironing board , kettle to make normal tea and coffee ( No Green Teabags). The room was quite large and clean with a side chair and low table. A large TV on the wall .
The bed was quite comfortable.
Had some food in the CASA area , we had Smashed Burger with chips and Chicken pesto sandwich with no tomatoes , not cheap but were very tasty. We had Cruz campo plus a Cider and black on draught which was refreshing at a cost of around ￡6 a glass. The Bar / restaraunt staff were excellent.
Stayed at Ty Newport , Room 133 , behind is the rear roof of a lower floor building, the main dual carriageway and also the delivery area for the hotel. I was woken around 5am with a noise and what I believe sounded like a noise of something scraping across a nearby floor so probably a delivery being made.
We read that a minibus service was available between the ICC and the TY Newport which is part of the Celtic Manor Hotel, but after asking on arrival was informed this was unavailable on this occasion and a UBER would be the cheapest way to travel to the ICC Wales venue , this cost about ￡6 per journey each way per car and less than a 5 minute journey, they say it’s walkable in 15 minutes but it’s across busy roads and carriageways.
