Location spettacolare. Panorama mozzafiato e vista spettacolare sull'Etna. Servizio impeccabile e un encomio speciale al sommelier Roberto Raciti per come ha descritto e accompagnato i vini nella nostra experience. Una domenica fantastica con ottimo cibo e vini siciliani da Oscar. Complimenti alla famiglia Firriato.

Gita in moto in una calda domenica di fine ottobre con tappa a Castiglione di Sicilia. Ottima accoglienza in un luogo incantevole, immersi nella valle dell'Alcantara con vista sui loro vigneti. Elegante location per la degustazione. Piacevole esperienza enogastronomica con visita alle cantine. Consigliato

We stayed one night in a delux room with a small terrace. No view from the terrace, it was enclosed to give privacy I guess. Room was ok. Pool area is ok, super cold water in the pool. The plastic wine glasses by the pool are worn out which takes away some of the feeling (plastic is good for a pool area but not worn out). It's a wine hotel, they should celebrate the wine with decent glasses. They only offered wine tasting at 13 and we checked too late but they said the dinner will also have a wine tasting.? On our evening there was a five course dinner and wine tasting package or no food option. We took the quite expensive package as we wouldn't have time for a separate wine tasting. We were utterly disappointed of the wine selection on the dinner, no Etna wines from an Etna winery. Only their other brand wines made on another location. No tasting or information, it was only a wine package to the dinner. The dinner itself was bland and a bit boring not worth the money and the wine selection did not make it a better experience.? When bringing this up with the hotel they offered 15% off the dinner package, it was not worth half. They offered us to stay at the pool until 13 to do a wine tasting (unclear about payment) , but we were checking out that day. They could have compensate with a Etna wine bottle such a simple gesture which doesn't cost much for them.? Overall room, dinner, breakfast and the service we were not impressed.

Schitterend gelegen tussen de wijngaarden in de heuvels. Alles is tot in de puntjes geregeld en de kamer is van alle gemakken voorzien. Het personeel is heel behulpzaam en maakte een ontbijtpakket voor ons klaar toen we een dag vroeg naar de Etna gingen. In het restaurant kun je 's avonds uitgebreid dineren met een ruime keus aan lokaal geproduceerde wijnen.

If I could give La Cavenera Etnae more than 5* I would. We stayed here for one night for my 30th birthday and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We did the Eruption wine tasting and Roberto was so knowledgeable and exciting to listen to. I had the fish menu and my partner the meat and both options were absolutely incredible. The facilities are beautiful, the pool and vineyard walks are so peaceful and relaxing. The room was super comfortable and clean. We will definitely come back!

After spending several days in Taormina, my wife and I were looking for an activity outside of town and came upon Cavanera Etnea. We were pleasantly surprised by our experience. A beautiful property with wonderful facilities - our sommelier Roberto was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable about the regional wines, and was full of energy. The wines were great, and paired nicely with our meal for a reasonable price. We would definitely do this again in the future.

Piccolo stop time in questa meravigliosa struttura due giorni di pace e relax tra i vigneti con sfondo Etna e tramonti meravigliosi, tutto accompagnato da location top e servizio impeccabile…stanza Pulite e confortevoli,cibo ottimo, vino divino!!!

Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno indimenticabile in questo Resort e Wine Experience. L'atmosfera era magica, immersa nelle colline e circondata da vigneti che si perdevano all'orizzonte con lo sfondo dell’Etna. La scelta di questo posto è stata molto accurata, arriviamo alle 14 per il check in, ad accoglierci alla reception un personale davvero cordiale e disponibilissimo. La camera pulita e ben servita, una volta disfatti i bagagli abbiamo passato l’intero pomeriggio nella suggestiva piscina a sbalzo sul vigneto, con il sottofondo di buona musica, a completare il tutto il fornitissimo servizio bar. Alle 18 iniziamo la Wine Experience dove ad accompagnarci è stato il Sommelier Roberto Raciti un grande carisma e passione legata da una grande esperienza nel campo, in cui ci ha accompagnato alla scoperta delle cantine Firriato, La degustazione è stata un vero e proprio viaggio sensoriale, per non parlare del suggestivo tramonto. Abbiamo assaggiato una selezione di vini eccezionali, ognuno con una storia da raccontare, dalla freschezza del bianco alla complessità e forza del rosso. Roberto ci ha svelato come esaltare il palato con aneddoti e curiosità che hanno reso l'esperienza ancora più speciale. Il tutto è stato accompagnato da buon pane casereccio con del olio, Tartare di verdure, Pasta Fresca al pesto, ed infine un cannolo alla ricotta con pistacchio, un connubio perfetto che ha esaltato i sapori dei vini. Consiglio vivamente questa esperienza a tutte le coppie che vogliono regalarsi un momento di relax, gusto e romanticismo. Torneremo sicuramente!

We had an incredible time at the resort. Room and hotel facilities are well maintained and clean, with great view of Etna and vineyard. Absolutely enjoyed our stay.

Two friends and I recently had a lunch and wine tasting experience at the vineyards restaurant, the experience was lovely. We showed up a few minutes before the kitchen closed, however management accommodated us and make sure we felt welcome and received the full service. The food was excellent, the setting beautiful but the highlight of the experience was the expertise, and engaging show like experience [provided by their onsite Sommelier, Roberto Trovato. Highly recommend as a stop on your way up or back from the north side of Etna.
