A beautiful home in the middle of Old Chinon, small boutique, operated by the charming owner Maurice. Very private rooms, and a fabulous breakfast with everything you need to start the day. Various homemade breads, quiche, eggs fruit and yogurt are but a few of the dishes. Perfectly located to see the local sites (Fortress etc). Would definitely return.
What a great boutique hotel. The hotel is situated on a quiet street with easy access to riverside parking but a short walk to some nice Chinon restaurants. Maurice is a great host, his home prepared breakfasts are superb, all the rooms are elegant, clean and well equipped. Our fourth visit and it gets better every year. A home away from home.

Super séjour au relais Saint Maurice. La maison est vraiment superbe. L’accueil de Maurice inégalable (il n est ni avare de conseils ni d anecdotes). Et surtout l endroit est plein de charme et confortable. Super petit déjeuner sur la terrasse au soleil. Quelle jolie découverte ! Merci ! PS : le parking est très utile
Great find with a very welcoming host who is generously sharing his house with you. Interesting and quirky décor but very comfortable (the size of our room was fabulous). Fantastically situated in the centre of Chinon. Anyone who knows the lovely town will recall that parking is not easy. The Relais has a garage but we found the best option was to find a parking space about 100m away and ask for the card at the Relais which gives you free parking. Highly recommended all round!

A Perfect Stay We stayed 2 nights at the guesthouse of Maurice, the host, who was personable, always accommodating, and extremely attentive. Maurice completely renovated this 13th century structure with the utmost care and excellent taste. Our room was large for French guest rooms and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was sumptuous and is served in an elegant dining room. Maurice makes sure he attends to every detail in order to make breakfast a delightful experience. The location is perfect for exploring the sights of Chinon. If you plan to stay in Chinon, don’t go to a hotel, you will be glad that you chose to stay with Maurice. Parking is available and pets are welcome.
Excepcional, qué gusto encontrar personas con tal dedicación, tanto a lo básico, como a los detalles que marcan la diferencia, muy muy recomendable, experiencia perfecta. Solo un detalle mejorable, la calefacción hace demasiado ruido.
