what a lovely few days at this hotel very clean and friendly staff and a great hotel with plenty history well worth staying here

Clean room booked a ground floor and got 1st floor. But room was clean tidy. Comfortable comfy bed Toilet was a bit small and tight also uneven toilet floor will stay here again nearly cancelled due to previous bad reviews but it was nice and quiet and great value for money .

Stayed at The Feathers for 1 night 11th February.Lovely clean room breakfast was delicious very friendly staff.We also had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent.Perfect base for exploring lovely Norfolk

We’ve been here before but got quiet rooms at the back last time. This time we were allocated a room at the front opposite the Bull pub. We went out for dinner and came back to watch a bit of tv before bed but there was a really loud disco at the Bull, very audible through the secondary double glazing. It went on past midnight until 12:35., then lots of drunks swearing and cars revving. It ruined our evening - so avoid a room at the front on a Friday night. My wife had a vegetarian breakfast and the so-called ‘vegetarian sausages’ were sort of savoury croquettes. Unfortunately these were still frozen in the middle. The waitress replaced them with much browner ones which were still cold in the middle. Obviously my wife didn’t eat them, and clearly the cook didn’t test them by trying one or using a thermometer. The hash browns were pale white and looked as if they had been microwaved. All in all the vegetarian breakfast was not impressive. The room was pleasant and the shower room was very modern.

Had a nights stay with my wife. Requested a quiet room which they ensured we had. Very clean quirky but comfortable room. The breakfast was the best we have had in a hotel for a long time , thank you chef. Tayla on reception was very helpful as were the rest of the staff. A lovely town to visit , we will return Thank you

Thank you so much to the amazing staff at the feathers including Miguel - everyone went above and beyond. The accommodation was wonderful with lovely little touches like a complementary mini bar with a few lovely things in it. The breakfast was delicious as was all the food. Highly recommend - will be back!

Really lovely overnight stay. Staff were a delight. Room was lovely. Delightfully comfy bed with lovely linen. Food was delicious. We will be back!

We had an evening meal Sat 24 Jan the staff were so nice professional but very polite and helpful, we had a GF guest and they helped with the menu choices and even changed a meal for us. The food was excellent steak pie delicious, one of our party had fish and chips they said it was the best they have had. Would definitely recommend for service and food.

We had a delightful stay at the Feathers in a gorgeously presented and ridiculously comfortable junior suite. Dinner was faultless and excellent value considering the quality. Above all, what really makes the Feathers shine (apart from the insane architecture) was the service. The staff could not have been more charming or accommodating and they made us feel like royalty. Every member of the team we encountered was polite and friendly, but of particular note were Tom on reception and Jess in the dining room. Despite their seemingly modest years, they were beyond professional and made their difficult and often thankless jobs seem absolutely effortless. They really are all an asset to this iconic hotel. Louise - another receptionist - was also an absolute delight throughout the booking process. We cannot wait to return.

A very atmospheric hotel, lovely to sit near the open fire, relaxing with a drink. The staff were friendly and helpful; our room was clean and well appointed but right at the back of the hotel with some building work going on nearby - this wasn't a problem in the evening but woke us the next morning! Ludlow didn't disappoint either - lovely to walk around the town looking at the architecture.
